The Epson Paper Savings Calculator is designed as a reference tool and intended to provide estimated savings when using Epson's Paper Saving features that come standard with select Epson POS printers.
The Epson Paper Saving feature reduces the spacing on the top and bottom margins, barcode size and line spacing within the receipt. Depending on the settings selected, paper consumption can be reduced by 10%, 20% or 30%. The savings model is based on Epson printers connected via USB, utilizing Epson's ESC/POS command, using 3 1/8: x 230' paper rolls, and Windows XP.
The calculator provides an easy way to calculate paper savings using one of the three Epson Paper Saving options. You can calculate your savings based on whether you want to reduce the paper consumed by 10%, 20% or 30%. You can select up to 365 operating days, up to 1000 receipts per day, and the length of a receipt up to 500 mm. The default cost of a roll of thermal paper is set at $1.10/roll, but the calculator will accept other data. Epson has set a default of 100 installed units, but you may also increase or decrease that number.
