Answer: Epson provides a family of programs called ExpressCareSM. With ExpressCare, you can choose the service program that best suits your needs from extending warranty coverage to replacing a unit overnight.
How do I read the model code on Epson POS products? Top
Answer: All models have a sub code, for example: TM-300PA-011. If the sub code is not after the model name of the product, turn the unit upside down and look for a white sticker. The sticker will have a format similar to the following: xxxx xxxx xxxx xxx. The second group of digits is also the sub code of the unit. Always use the complete model name and sub code when contacting technical, parts, or sales support.
What interface cable do I use for my printer? Top
Answer: All serial devices other than modems require a null modem interface cable. Be sure to use an Epson null modem cable from PC to TM printer.
What maintenance is required on my Epson POS product? Top
Answer: Keeping printers free of paper dust reduces the possibility of paper jams. You can also use a MICR cleaning kit to prevent readers from misreading and effectively removing dirt, ink, and other contaminants. And don't forget that old ribbons can shorten print head life. Replace the ribbon when a decrease in print quality is observed. Read the User's Manual instructions of your product for more maintenance tips.
