 Bud Weist Vice President - Sales and Marketing, Epson America System Device Group | Vice President of Epson's System Device Group, Bud Weist is responsible for sales and marketing of the company's Point-of-Sale products throughout the U.S. and Canada. Mr. Weist has 23 years experience marketing printers and peripherals, with 18 of those years dedicated to the retail industry. Since joining Epson in 1984, Mr. Weist established high-volume OEM relationships that made Epson printer mechanisms the top selling brand in the U.S. In 1989, Mr. Weist led the company's migration to packaged printers for retail, then supervised the expansion into the hospitality, supermarket and banking industries with a broad array of open architecture POS technologies including thermal and inkjet printers, intelligent terminals, handheld computers, networked terminals and displays. Under his leadership, Epson has experienced significant revenue growth and has become the number one supplier of printers for retail Point-of-Sale.
Before joining Epson, Mr. Weist led marketing programs for DataProducts, Woodland Hills, California, a leading supplier of line printers used with mainframe computers.
